Victim Of Software Counterfeiting

Grand Strand Tea Party president arrested

Horry County police charged Anthony Trinca with breach of trust and unauthorized use or trafficking in counterfeit trademarks by individual.

Trinca is the president of the Grand Strand Tea Party .

According to a police report, a victim said he bought six Rosetta Stone  language software packages from Trinca to sell them on eBay. It says Trinca runs a business called Computer Repair Dirt Cheap out of his home on Palmetto Glenns in Myrtle Beach.

But after he sold them, the victim learned the software was counterfeit. The victim said when he tried to get his money back, Trinca wouldn't give it to him.

The victim thought there were other counterfeit software packages as well because of their name brands and low prices.

Police also charged Trinca's son, Micheal trinca, with unauthorized use or trafficking in counterfeit trademarks by individual.
