Spring Activities For Kindergarten « Preschool Worksheets
Spring is a great time-it is a time when the flowers commence to bloom, the weather begins to warm and the chances for learning and instructing are endless. Now that spring is approaching, you may need a great deal of fresh ideas for your preschool Sunday School class. Here are some ideas for instructing your kids this spring season.
Go on a nature walk
Nature walks are a outstanding way to get out of the class and not only stretch the legs and burn off a lot of energy, but also for learning something new. When children become impatient, grab the kids and head outside. When you take children on a nature walk, give everyone a little paper bag and let them take things they find along the way. They can find a rock finelooking, a flower petal that has blown, or even a bright green leaf. They gather their treasures to the nature of college back in the classroom. Another possibleness is to take along paper and crayons and let them bark rubbings or leaf rubbings while out on a walk.
Plant a garden
Every kid loves planting and taking care of a garden. Find seeds that grow effortlessly and get started them indoors. Sunflowers, beans and grass seed all grow nicely. Use yogurt cups, egg cartons or pudding cups to begin the seeds. Let the kids spoon in the dirt and care for the seeds until they sprout. Send them home or plant them outdoors in the school garden when they grow huge enough. This is a fun learning action and kids never get tired of watching their plants grow with care and a little sun.
Remember the birds
Spring is a time when the kids will get started seeing the birds taking flight. Many of these feathered friends will get started gathering string and twigs for nest and will look for food. Spring is a perfective time to make bird feeders and set out things for the birds to use. Bird feeders are easy. Make a pinecone bird feeder by propagating peanut butter all over the pinecone and sprinkling birdseed on the peanut butter. You may do the same thing with bagels, or you may spring popcorn and cereal on thread and hang it from a tree. Leave out pieces of string, little strips of fabric and little twigs that the birds may use to build a nest.
